About LawAtlas
LawAtlas exists because the law that governs your job, your lease, your immigration status, or your small business rarely reads like it was written for you. We translate statutes, regulations, and court practice into explanations a non-lawyer can actually use — organized by jurisdiction, because the same question can have a different answer depending on where you're standing.
What we cover
Our sections track the areas readers ask about most: US law, European law, immigration, consumer rights, employment law, business law, and the fast-moving field of AI and technology regulation. Each article names its jurisdiction explicitly, because "the law" almost never means the same thing in two different countries — or even two different US states.
How we work
Every article is researched against primary sources — statutes, regulations, and official guidance — and written to explain the current state of the law as clearly as possible. We date and update articles when the underlying law changes, and we flag where a topic is genuinely unsettled rather than presenting it as fixed.
What LawAtlas is not
LawAtlas is a publication, not a law firm, and nothing here is legal advice for your specific situation. See our full disclaimer before relying on anything you read. If you're facing a real legal problem, the right next step is almost always a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
